Field cultivated with the JD 6420 tractor and JD 960 field cultivator. On May 30, 2006 Jim field cultivated T7R2 twice and T7R4 once before it started to rain. It started to rain while Jim was field cultivating T7R4 and the soil did not dry out enough to field cultivate again until June 5, 2006. On June 5, 2006 Jim field cultivated T7 reps 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 twice and field cultivated T7 rep 2 once. So overall T7 reps 2 and 4 were field cultivated three times and T7 reps 1, 3, 5, and 6 were field cultivated twice.

2008-07-11 Soil Preparation Jim Stoneburner used the JD 5425 and JD 970 cultimulcher to pack the soil in the switchgrass fertility/harvest timing study. The area was uneven after Jim went over the area so I went over the area three times with the JD 6420 tractor and JD 960 field cultivator. I went over the area in different directions, I went deep with the field cultivator to move the soil around to make sure to level the soil in the study area. After the field cultivation Jim when over the area again with the JD 5425 tractor and JD 970 cultimulcher.

Not sure if Brandon and Justin Mezo, Terry Tilley and Justin Mezo completed these field activities or if Justin completed both chisel plowing and field cultivating. I think it was Brandon and Justin Mezo that completed these field activities.
