Applied Lime to LTER Main Site treatment T1 (Reps 5,4,1,2,3) and T2 (Reps 5,2,3,1,4 and 6) with pelletized lime.
Lime was applied with a pull type spreader with a 40 ft spreading width. Target application rate was 500 lb per acre.
T1 Reps 4 and 5, T2 Reps 2,3,4, and 5 were applied 4/30/24. The remaining reps were applied 5/1/24.
T1R5, T2R2 and T2R5 were applied first using a single pass to apply. The spreader seemed to be applying a slightly higher rate with the gate door being opened so far on the back of the spreader. The rest of the plots were applied at 250 lb per acre with two passes over plots to achieve the 500 lb per acre target rate.
T1R6 was not applied yet because Battle Creek Farm Bureau ran out of pelletized lime. T1R3 also only has one pass at 250 lb per acre because the spreader was empty after 1 pass.
T1R6 and T1R3 were finished on 5/6/24.

Applications started the afternoon of 4/14/25 and were finished on 4/17/25 see attached map for exact days of each plot.
Application was made in C2 with 1250 rpm going 3 mph. CFR was .0155 with a bulk density of 80 lb/cubic ft for the Rate Controller.
