5-26-2006 After we finished soil finishing treatment 3 we washed the soil finisher before we started soil finishing treatment 4. Nicole and I spent 45 minutes cleaning and washing the soil and dirt off the soil finisher. We washed the soil finisher to comply with OCIA organic certification requirements concerning the use of equipment on certified organic ground. OCIA standard state that all equipment used for production shall be cleaned sufficiently and documented by the use of a clean down log and/or checklist to prevent any contamination by conventional farming residues or by non-certified organic and/or GMO containing crops or products.
