5-23-2006 After we finished chisel plowing treatment 3 we washed the chisel plow before we started chisel plowing treatment 4. Nicole and Jim cleaned the chisel plow. We washed the chisel plow to comply with OCIA organic certification requirements concerning the use of equipment on certified organic ground. OCIA standard state that all equipment used for production shall be cleaned sufficiently and documented by the use of a clean down log and/or checklist to prevent any contamination by conventional farming residues or by non-certified organic and/or GMO containing crops or products.
