Comment:
Harvested corn in LTER T3 main plots reps 5, 4, 2, 3, 1, and 6. All plots were weighed and sampled for moisture separately by replication. Flow of grain at harvest: from the combine to the weigh wagon, to the truck, no augers used/needed. Equipment used: Harvested with the JD S660 combine with 706C Corn Head (6 row corn head). Harvested 30 foot headlands off T3 plots on October 22, 2026, (the headland pass has a separate ag-log entry). This is an East to West pass on the North and South edges of the plots. This was a total of 30 foot headlands on each end. This extra 15 foot pass was to take out anywhere were the planter fertilizer was delayed coming on at planting time. Headlands were weighed all together (all plots and replications of headlands had one weight to them). In past years only a 15 foot headland pass on each end was taken. This was the first year a 30 foot headland pass was harvested.
