Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Experiment (Irrigated N-rate Study). Equipment used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. Amount of water applied: 1.03 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 21; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 10:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Weather conditions at 10:15 a.m. Partly Cloudy , 79.7°F, wind 2-5 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 12.99 mph) wind gust 5.83 mph, from the West, relative humidity 74.9%. Weather conditions at 12:00 p.m. Partly Cloudy, 82.5°F, wind 3-6 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 3.27 mph), wind gust 6.91 mph, from the West, relative humidity 63.4%.
