Row cultivated the corn in the LTER T4, all reps, reps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Cultivated twice on July 8, 2026. Cultivating twice we make sure to go both directions on the same row. By going the same directions on the same row you allow the cultivator to get closer to crop on both sides of the row. Cultivated weeds from the T4 plots. Equipment used: JD6420 tractor and JD 856 row crop cultivator. Started cultivating in the Southwest corner of the plots. Corn was getting bigger so was cultivating at 5.0 - 9.5 mph. Trying to cover the weeds but not bury the corn. Had the cultivator leaning back as far as it would go and still pull the cultivator. Was trying to create mounds on soil on the corn which buries the weeds.
