Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Experiment (Irrigated N-rate Study).
Equipment used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System.
Amount of water applied: 1.09 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges).
Irrigation system delay setting: 20;
Irrigation pressure: 21 psi;
Pressure at the pump: 50 psi.
Time of application was between 11:10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Weather conditions at 11:00 a.m. Partly Cloudy , 83.4°F, wind 6-9 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 6.45 mph) wind gust 9.8 mph, from the South West, relative humidity 77.1%.
Weather conditions at 1:00 p.m. Partly Cloudy, 87.1°F, wind 6-12 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 6.68 mph), wind gust 12.23 mph, from the South West, relative humidity 69.9%.

The in line water meter was not working at the time of irrigation.
The first reading off the inline water meter was 7/7/26 at 6,807,853. There was 2.16" of water irrigated in 2 prior events and all the lines needed to be primed to start the year. That should approximately total 105,000 gallons of irrigation water and estimated 20,000 - 25,000 gallon to prime the lines. So a total of 125,000-130,000 gallon of water had previously been applied.
Hours were not recorded of irrigation panel until 7/10/26. On that day hours were 409.5. Approximately 5.5 hours had been previously put on so the beginning of the year would have been approximately 404 hours on the irrigation panel.
