Comment:
Plant Black Perl black beans at 115k seeds per acre, 1-1.25 inches deep, with a 30" row spacing. A 3 row gap was left on the east and west edges of the field, then every other pass as planted (6 row, 15' pass). This put half the row in soil where row cleaners had been run in advance, and half without residue preparation. The remaining passes, half and full, were attempted to be planted with Kona black bean, but the seeds were too large for the soybean boxes. On June 1 Kona was replanted using the corn boxes at 56k seeds per acre.
