Planted GLBRC Main Site G2 sorghum all replications, reps 5, 2, 1, 3, and 4. Variety Planted: Iowa State University HPS5500. Planting Depth: 1.50 inches. Row Spacing: 15 inches. Planting Population: 200,000 seeds per acre. Germination rate on the seed was 50%. We were aiming for a final population of 80,000 seeds/A so the plots were planted at 200,000 seeds/A. Seed Treatment: Iowa State University HPS5500 was treated with Concep III (seed safener), Apron XL (systemic fungicide) and Maxim 4FS (systemic insecticide). No seed tag or label was available with the seed lot that was sent from Iowa State. The seed lot from Iowa State was their seed stock remaining from the 2021 growing season. Planted with John Deere 7330 tractor and Harvest International Planter.
