Chisel Plowed the LTER Treatment 4 all reps (6,5,2,3,4 and 1). Chisel plowed to a depth of 6-7 inches. Plots were chisel plowed North to South incorporating the existing rye. Two additional ”headland” passes were plowed E-W on the north and south edges of each plot. Prairie strips were avoided completely. Soil moisture conditions were great to incorporate biomass.
