Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Experiment (Irrigated N-rate Study). Equipment used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. Amount of water applied: 0.804 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 25.0; Irrigation pressure: 22 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 1:45 p.m. - 3:25 p.m. Weather conditions at 1:40 p.m. mostly cloudy, 57.5 degrees F, wind 5-17 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 9.16 mph) wind gust 16.75 mph, from the Northwest, relative humidity 63.3%. Weather conditions at 3:10 p.m. mostly cloudy, 56.8 degrees F, wind 5-17 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 10.66 mph), wind gust 15.5 mph, from the Northwest, relative humidity 58.9%.
