Chisel Plowed the LTER Treatment 4 all reps (1,4,2,3,5 and 6). Reps 1 and 4 were done on 5/16/23. Reps 2,3,5 and 6 were done on 5/17/23. Chisel plowed to a depth of 6-7 inches. Plots were chisel plowed North to South incorporating the existing clover. Two additional ”headland” passes were plowed E-W on the north and south edges of each plot. Prairie strips were avoided completely. Soil moisture conditions were great to incorporate biomass. Soil was getting dry so some areas had to be gone over twice to get proper depth.
