Irrigated winter wheat in the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Experiment (Irrigated N-rate Study). Equipment used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. Amount of water applied: 1.4375 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 16; Irrigation pressure: 22 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 9:25 a.m. - 11:55 a.m. Weather conditions at 9:30 a.m. mostly sunny, 76.4 degrees F, wind 0-10 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 1.0 mph) wind gust 9.59 mph, from the Southwest, relative humidity 60.3%. Weather conditions at 11:55 p.m. mostly sunny, 80.9 degrees F, wind 0-13 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 1.42 mph), wind gust 12.99 mph, from the Southwest, relative humidity 55.2%. Meter reading at the start of irrigation event: 4785085.0; Meter reading at the end of irrigation event: 4851650.6; Total gallon of water used in this irrigation event (as measure by a in-line water meter): 66,566 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
