Irrigated winter wheat in the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Experiment (Irrigated N-rate Study). Equipment used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. Amount of water applied: 1.1 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 19; Irrigation pressure: 23 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 11:35 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. Weather conditions at 11:25 a.m. mostly sunny, 69.5 degrees F, wind 5-17 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 8.3 mph) wind gust 16.75 mph, from the Northwest, relative humidity 41.4%. Weather conditions at 1:45 p.m. mostly sunny, 69.5 degrees F, wind 8-24 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 11.54 mph), wind gust 23.02 mph, from the Northwest, relative humidity 35.4%.
