Irrigated winter wheat in the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Experiment (Irrigated N-rate Study). Equipment used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. Amount of water applied: 1.00 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 19; Irrigation pressure: 23 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 9:40 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Weather conditions at 9:35 a.m. mostly sunny, 69.5 degrees F, wind 2-9 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 5.79 mph) wind gust 8.52, from the southwest, relative humidity 60.3%. Weather conditions at 11:40 a.m. mostly sunny, 79.8 degrees F, wind 2-14 mph (3m high 5 minute average wind speed was 5.24 mph), wind gust 13.71 mph, from the southwest, relative humidity 44.5%. Meter reading at the start of irrigation event: 4461677.6; Meter reading at the end of irrigation event: 4517925.3; Total gallon of water used in this irrigation event (as measure by a in-line water meter): 57,247.7 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
