Fertilized LTER winter wheat N-Rate Study treatments 6-9. Only plots F6 to F9 were fertilized with 28% U.A.N. nitrogen fertilizer at the following rates to finish N application for the season. F6 at 13.4 gal/A =40 lb N, F7 at 20.1 gal/A = 60 lb N, F8 at 26.8 gal/A = 80 lb N and F9 at 33.5 gal/A = 100 lb N, Applied with Top Air Sprayer equipped with chafer streamer bars with 1.0 orifice. Do to low volume only half the boom was on and every 15 foot plot was covered individually. Conditions starting at 2:30 p.m. clear, 84 degrees F 37% humidity 8-9 mph Southwest winds. On 05/17/2022 the F5 remaining nitrogen was applied. F5 plots were fertilized with 28% U.A.N. nitrogen fertilizer at 6.7 Gallons per Acre, applying 20 lb N per Acre. Do to low volume only half the boom was on and every 15 foot plot was covered individually. Teejet 3 stream 015 green tips were used to apply the low volume evenly. Conditions starting at 3:30 p.m. clear, 64 degrees F 41% humidity 10-14 mph Northwest winds. Application was completed using the John Deere 5220 Tractor and the Top Air 30ft sprayer.
