Irrigated soybeans in the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Experiment (Irrigated N-rate Study). Equipment used: Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. Amount of water applied: 0.6416 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 32.0; Irrigation pressure: 23 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 3:40 p.m. - 5:05 p.m. KBS LTER weather page was not updating during this irrigation event so the weather information came from a Weather Underground HaronHouse Station weather information page from Hickory Corners, MI. Weather conditions at the end (5:10 p.m.): mostly cloudy, 74.0 degrees F, wind 4-10 mph (average 6.0 mph) from the northwest, relative humidity 48%. Total gallon of water used in this irrigation event (as measure by a in-line water meter): 37,855 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation. Average about 423 gallons per minute.
