Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. .77 inches of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 27; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 9:00am-10:50am. Weather conditions at the start: sunny, 74.6 degrees F, wind 3-4 mph southwest, relative humidity 84.6%. Weather conditions at the end: sunny, 80.6 degrees F, wind 4-5mph southwest, relative humidity 72.9%. 41,690.6 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
