Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. .79 inches of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 27; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 8:00am-10:00am. Weather conditions at the start: sunny clear skies, 63.2 degrees F, wind 4-5mph southwest, relative humidity 82.4%. Weather conditions at the end: sunny clear skies, 71.7 degrees F, wind 4-5mph southwest, relative humidity 65.2%. 40,907.1 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
