Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. .80 inches of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 27 %; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 8:00am-10:00am. Weather conditions at the start: partly cloudy skies, 65 degrees F, wind 2-4mph North East, relative humidity 92.6%. Weather conditions at the end: sunny clear skies, 73.8 degrees F, wind 4-5mph East, relative humidity 71.1%. 42,227.2 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
