Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. .78 inches of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges). Irrigation system delay setting: 27 %; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi. Time of application was between 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Weather conditions at the start clear skies, 59.2 degrees F, wind 4-5mph North East, relative humidity 96.3%. Weather conditions at the end clear skies, 70.1 degrees F, wind 4-5mph East, relative humidity 70.8%. 40,353.8 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
