Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, .74 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 28 %; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 10:00 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start partly cloudy, 78.5 degrees F, wind: 6-7 mph west wind, 69.8 % humidity. Weather conditions at the end partly cloudy, 79.9 degrees F, 5-8 mph west wind. 69.6 % humidity. 40,059.9 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
