Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, .94 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 23.5%; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 9:30 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start sunny, 78 degrees F, wind: 3-4 mph south wind, 82 % humidity. Weather conditions at the end sunny, 86.8 degrees F, 4-5 mph south west wind. 61.2 % humidity. 48,442 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
