Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, .92 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 24%; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start sunny, 81 degrees F, wind: 4-5 mph west wind, 63.6 % humidity. Weather conditions at the end sunny, 82.3 degrees F, 3-4 mph north west wind. 54 % humidity. 47,267.8 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
