Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, .72 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 26.5%; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.; Weather conditions at the start sunny, 79.8 degrees F, wind: 7-8 mph east wind, 56.2 % humidity. Weather conditions at the end sunny, 82.8 degrees F, 8-9 mph east wind. 49.2 % humidity. 42,564.4 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
