Irrigated corn in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, .82 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 25%; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 12:20 p.m. - 2:05 p.m.; Weather conditions at the start partly cloudy, 76.4 degrees F, wind: 1-2 mph north east wind, 52.3 % humidity. Weather conditions at the end partly cloudy, 78.5 degrees F, 3-4 mph west wind. 44.3 % humidity. 46,073 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation.
