Comment:
Planted GLBRC Main Site G2 sorghum all replications (5, 2, 3, 4, 1). TAM 17651 sorghum planted at 1 inch at a average population of 78,300 seeds per acre. TAM 17651 was treated with Concep (seed safener), Apron (systemic fungicide) and Maxim (systemic insecticide). Fertilizer was applied to all plots except in the 15 ft non fertilized micro plots which rep one is 15 ft on the west side and reps 2-5 is 15 ft on the east side received no fertilizer. 28 % fertilizer was applied this year with the corn planter on every other rows (three inches to each side of those rows and 1 inch into the ground). 28% fertilizer was applied at 16.7 gallons per acre. 28% weighs 10.67 lbs so 50 lbs of nitrogen was applied per acre.
