Irrigated winter wheat in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, .57 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 40%; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start (9:40 a.m.) mostly sunny, 77 degrees F, wind: 5 mph (9 ft) out of the north. R.H. 81% Weather conditions at the end (10:40 a.m.): mostly sunny, 80 degrees F, winds: 5.5 mph (9 ft) out of the northwest. R.H. 77% 34,484 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation. Using 428 gals/min. during the irrigation event.
