Irrigated winter wheat in the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, .55 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 40%; Irrigation pressure: 21 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.; Weather conditions at the start (3:30 p.m. was the last LTER weather report time) mostly sunny, 88 degrees F, wind: 7 mph out of the west. R.H. 57% Weather conditions at the end (6:40 p.m.): mostly sunny, 89 degrees F, winds: 5.5 mph out of the west. R.H. 46% 28,783 gallons of water was applied at time of irrigation. Using 428 gals/min. during the irrigation event.
