Irrigated the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Study (N-rate Study). Equipment Used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. 0.66 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 34%; Water pressure at the Linear system: 21-22 psi; Water Pressure at the well/pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 8:00 a.m. - 9:44 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start: sunny/foggy Temperature: 63.7 degrees F, Relative Humidity: 98.1 %, Wind: 1-3 mph West winds. Soil temp 65.5 degrees F, Soil moisture 11.40 %. Weather conditions at the end: partly cloudy, 72.9 degrees F, 86.6 % humidity, 2-4 mph North West winds. Soil temperature 72.9 degrees F, Soil moisture 11.40 %. 36,301 gallons of water was applied during this irrigation event; At 50 psi we are using about 430 GPM gallons of water per minute.
