Irrigated the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Study (N-rate Study). Equipment Used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. 0.6 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 35%; Water pressure at the Linear system: 21-22 psi; Water Pressure at the well/pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 8:40 a.m. and 10:40 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start: Sunny, Temperature: 74.6 degrees F, Relative Humidity: 81 %, Wind: 4-6 mph East. Weather conditions at the end: Sunny, Temperature: 80 degrees F, Relative Humidity: 69%, Wind: 6-8 mph East, Soil Temp: 82.4 degrees F, Soil Moisture: 15 %. 37,305 gallons of water was applied during this irrigation event; At 50 psi we are using about 400 GPM gallons of water per minute.
