Irrigated the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Study (N-rate Study). Equipment Used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. 0.92 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 24.5%; Irrigation pressure: 21-22 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 - 52 psi; Time of application was between 9:20 a.m. and 11:20 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start: (9:20 a.m.) mostly sunny, Temperature: 74 degrees F, Relative Humidity: 77%, Wind: 4-6 mph out of the West, Soil Temp: 79.5 degrees F, Soil Moisture: 9.1%. Weather conditions at the end: (11:20 a.m.) mostly sunny, Temperature: 79 degrees F, Relative Humidity: 65%, Wind: 3-4 out of the south west, Soil Temp: 94.3 degrees F, Soil Moisture: 9.2%. 46260 gallons of water was applied during this irrigation event.
