Irrigated the LTER Irrigated Resource Gradient Study (N-rate Study). Equipment Used: Irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System. 0.59 inch of water was applied (as measured by five rain gauges, yes five gauges not six, one gauge was tipped over); Irrigation system delay setting: 32%; Irrigation pressure: 21-22 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 - 52 psi; Time of application was between 2:50 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.; Weather conditions at the start: (2:50 p.m.) mostly/cloudy, Temperature: 83 degrees F, Relative Humidity: 45%, Dew Point 56 degrees F, Wind: calm - 8 mph (ave. 4-5 mph) out of the West, Soil Temp: 110 degrees F, Soil Moisture: 9.3%. Weather conditions at the end: (4:20 p.m.) mostly/cloudy, Temperature: 83 degrees F, Relative Humidity: 42%, Dew Point 61 degrees F, Wind: calm - 6 mph (ave 4-5 mph) out of the West, Soil Temp: 104 degrees F, Soil Moisture: 9.4%. 34,670 gallons of water was applied during this irrigation event.
