Chisel Plowed Main Site LTER Treatment 3. Rep: 5 was chisel plowed on May 13, 2017. Rep 4 was chisel plowed on May 15, 2017, We did not continue to chisel plow the remaining replication because the soil was to wet. The soil was not breaking up well, the soil was still sticking together after chisel plowing. We will wait a few days and chisel plow the remaining replication of T3 plots. Reps 1, 2, 3, and 6 were chisel plowed May 16, 2017. Equipment Used: Chisel plowed with JD 7520 tractor and JD 714 chisel plow. Chisel plowed to a depth of 7-8 inches (17.8-20.3 cm). Plots were chisel plowed N-S across the field. Two additional ”headland” passes were plowed E-W on the north and south edges of each plot.
