Applied fertilizer in the GLBRC Main Site Treatment G10, MICRO-PLOT area only, all replications. Treatment G10 micro-plots were fertilized with 50 lbs N/A applied as 28% N fertilizer. The 28% fertilizer weighs 10.67 lbs / gallon so the 50 lbs N/A worked out to 17 gal 28%/A. Each treatment plot was divided into two areas: fertilized micro-plot areas 15' wide located on the west side of treatment plots (G10R2, G10R3, G10R4, and G10R5) and G10R1 located on the east side of the treatment plot; unfertilized areas which were the remaining 76.86' on the east side of the plots (G10R2, G10R3, G10R4, and G10R5) and G10R1 located on the west side of treatment plot. The fertilized 15' micro-plot received 50 lbs N/A. The unfertilized 76.86' was NOT fertilized. Weather conditions: 64 F overcast and humid. Equipment Used: JD 5220 tractor with a pull type Top Air sprayer equipped with a hydraulic centrifugal sprayer pump and a John Deere Rate Controller. Chafer stream bars were used spaced 15 inches apart with a total boom length of 30 feet. 20 psi was used. Purpose of Application: Supply nitrogen to the treatment plots.
