Seeded cover crops in Main Site GLBRC treatments G2, G3 and G4 (G2&G4 - reps 4 and 5 were seeded on 9/24/2015). Seeded wheeler rye and winter pea with a hand held spinner spreader walking every 5 feet (corn every other row was walked down and soybeans every fourth row was walked down). Rye was seeded at 112 lbs/A and winter pea was seeded at 108 lbs/A. Both rye and winter pea were mixed together using a cement mixer where 28 lbs of rye and 27 lbs of peas were mixed in each batch and then seeded at a rate of 212 lbs/A. Todd Martin and Josh Dykstra helped seeding the cover crops.
