Chisel Plowed the LTER Treatment 3. Reps: 4, 5, and 3 were chisel plowed on May 20, 2015. Reps: 2, 1, and 6 were chisel plowed on May 21, 2015. Chisel plowed with JD 7520 tractor and JD 714 chisel plow. Chisel plowed to a depth of 7-8 inches (17.8-20.3 cm). Plots were chisel plowed N-S across the field (a slight angle to make sure the chisel plow covered all the old corn residue rows) . Two additional ”headland” passes were plowed E-W on the north and south edges of each plot.
