Irrigated the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, 0.6 inch of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 33%; Irrigation pressure: 22 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 8:55 a.m - 10:10 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start: overcast, 63 degrees F, 96% relative humidity, wind: calm, out of the east north east. Weather conditions at the end: overcast, 65 degrees F, 92% relative humidity, winds: average of 3 mph out the east. Total gallons of water used for this irrigation event: 28,030 gallons.
