Irrigated the N-rate study. 1.0 inch of water in the rain gauge. The corn was not at black layer on September 27, 2004. After talking with Lyndon Kelley (MSU Extension) we decided to irrigate until the corn reaches black layer. The soil conditions were dry so we irrigated.
