Irrigated the LTER Irrigated Fertility Gradient Study (N-rate Study). The study was irrigated with the Valley 8000 Linear Irrigation System, 1.0 inch (2.54 cm) of water was applied (as measured by six rain gauges); Irrigation system delay setting: 22%; Irrigation pressure: 20 psi; Pressure at the pump: 50 psi; Time of application was between 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.; Weather conditions at the start: 77 degrees F (25 degrees C), 92% relative humidity, winds: 2-9 mph ave. of 7 mph out of the west. Weather conditions at the end: 81 degrees F (27.22 degrees C), 84% relative humidity, winds: 2-10 mph ave. 7.7 mph out of the west; The total water volume (based on an in-line flow meter) of 48,960 gals was used.
