Planted corn in the GLBRC Bait Crop Area: the north 30 ft on the south side of field 98. Planted with JD 7330 tractor and JD 1730 planter. Planted Dekalb DKC48-12RIB seed corn at 30,200 seeds/acre. Planting depth: 1.75 inches. Dekalb DKC48-12RIB has a relative maturity of 98 days (2450 growing degree units to black layer). DKC48-12RIB is a smartstak corn with RIB complete. Applied 19-17-0 liquid fertilizer at 15.1 gallons/acre. The fertilizer was placed two inches to the side and two inches below the seed at planting. 15.1 gals/A of 19-17-0 supplies 31.51 lbs N/A and 28.19 lbs P205/A
