Planted winter wheat into all 16 of the interaction plots. Wheat was soft red winter wheat, Pioneer 25R39, treated seed. All plots were planted at the same time due to soil conditions and consistency of planting depth between the two types of plots. Seeding rate was roughly 1,625,000 seeds/A. Are goal was to plant 2,000,000 seeds/A. Seed was planted with the JD1590 no-till drill set on population setting (41) at a depth of 1/4” to 3/4” pulled by JD 7420a tractor. Average planting speed was 3.5mph. All plots were planted in six passes.
