Comment:
We rotary hoed the corn in T3, all reps: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, because of soil crusting. The corn was having a hard time emerging from the soil. We received heavy and hard rain on May 28 and 29, 2011 (1.21 inch total) than on May 30 and 31, 2011 we had sunny, hot, and windy weather. The top layer of soil dried so much that the corn would not come out of the ground without some help. The rotary hoe would help break up the soil soil surface.
