Comment:
Fertilized the GLBRC Main Site Treatment G4, rotational Canola, all replications (replications 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1). All plots were fertilized with 80 lbs N/A applied as 28% N fertilizer (UAN) which is comprised of Urea + Ammonium Nitrate (CAS #57-13-6 Urea, #6484-52-5 Ammonium Nitrate). 28% fertilizer weighs 10.67 lbs /gallon so the 80 lbs N/A worked out to 26.7 gal 28%/A. Most of the canola plants were still at the cotyledon stage with the first leaves barely starting to become visible. In all plots, the first pass of the sprayer was made S to N along the W side of the plot. The second pass being N to S along the E side of the plot and the third pass being S to N in the middle of the plot. Conditions: Cloudy with air temperature approximately 63 degrees F (18.3 degrees C). Relative Humidity was approximately 90%. Wind was calm. Time of application was between 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Equipment Used: JD 5220 tractor traveling 2.3 mph (gear B3, 1400 rpm) with a pull type Top Air sprayer equipped with a hydraulic centrifugal sprayer pump and a Raven 440 automatic carrier control unit.
