Chisel plowed the LTER Main Site Treatment T7 successional annually tilled 20 meter x 20 meter microplot area, all replications (reps 1, 5, 2, 4, 3 and 6). Replications 1 and 5 were chisel plowed on May 7 but work stopped due to rain showers. The remaining four replications were chisel plowed in the afternoon of May 9. Chisel plowed with a headland pass on the south side followed by successive passes from S to N accross the entire microplot area and then a final headland pass on the north side. Chisel plowed with the JD7520 tractor and JD714 chisel plow.
