Sprayed GLBRC ancillary plots on south side of field, soybean trap crop on south and east of fields, soybeans in s/w corner of field area, switchgrass productivity trial plots 304 and 310, switchgrass variety trial soybean filler plots with Roundup Original Max 5.5L at 22 oz/A with ammonium sulfate at 17#/100 gallons (3.4 #/A) for postemergence weed control in soybeans. Time of application was 11:30 a.m. Weather conditions were cloudy, temperature was 77F, 60% relative humidity, winds out of south at 6-8 mph with 10 minute average of 7 mph. Equipment used: JD 5220 tractor traveling 4.8 mph (gear C1, 1550 rpm) with a pull type Top Air Sprayer equipped with a a hydraulic centrifugal sprayer pump and a Raven 440 automatic carrier control unit. Turbo TeeJet 11003 nozzles were used, spaced 15 inches apart with a total boom length of 30 feet. 20-30 psi was used. Water applied at 20 gals/A (187 L/Ha) was used as the carrier.
