Matt from the dairy and Jim began chisel-plowing the main site today. The plowing was begun on the eastern edge. Plow travel was N-S. The survey stakes were left in un-plowed strips to be plowed when help would be available to move them out of the way of the tractor. A nine shank Glencoe ”Soil Saver” and a Ford TW-25 were used. About 3/4 of the field was completed. Greg, of Jim’s group, continued plowing the Rotation Study in the ancillary site (Rep 2) today.
