| 2025-10-24 | Herbicide Application | Sprayed GLBRC Switchgrass Biodiversity Experiment (formerly Interaction plots) with tank mix of 6L 2-4D at 1 qt/A and Roundup PowerMax 3 at 40 fl oz/A. REI of tank mix is 12 hours, spraying concluded at 12:15 pm on 10/24/25. Safe re-entry on Saturday October 25 at 12:15 AM. Due to the height of the boom anti-drift agent was used, standing switchgrass was approximately 3-5 feet tall. Also included was Non-Ionic Surfactant (NIS), to help spray solution adhere to plant leaves. Monolith lysimeters areas were sprayed over, but not driven through. The monolith lysimeters had plastic placed over them so as to not have the area within the lysimeter frames sprayed. The intact Mesocosm located in the 15 feet on the west edge of plots 6 and 8 were NOT sprayed. The entire 15 ft for the entire length of plots 6 & 8 were not sprayed. See attached for weather data. |
